Community Voting: Rewarding Moderators

Hello Adalians!
The goal of Influence’s governance is to empower players to effect change within the community and help it evolve. To jump start this process we are presenting a proposal for the community’s consideration. 15% of the initial SWAY token distribution is slated for “Additional Incentives”. The first utilization from this allotment of SWAY is being used to reward participants in the ongoing Test-to-Earn events (1.00% of the total initial distribution). The next step is for the community to participate in a vote regarding the proposal for the use of the next allotment of the “Additional Incentives” SWAY.
This proposal would create a pool of 75 million SWAY (0.05% of the total initial distribution) to be rewarded to moderators who have helped us get to where we are today, and to continue to reward them between now and the release of Exploitation (as long as they continue to moderate).
Moderation isn’t a job, we do not set strict rules on how much or how little they participate, but we do periodically filter out mods who simply do not show up as often as we believe is helpful. This should not be looked at as an income, but rather as a reward for the moderator’s time spent helping to steer our community forward.
The distribution of rewards will be determined by the Influence team on an ongoing basis, but the decision to reward moderators is up to you. All owners of asteroids will be able to vote to utilize Snapshot.org, a decentralized voting platform for web3. You can find the link to vote here: https://snapshot.org/#/influenc.eth.
Unstoppable Games will abstain from the vote, which will allow the community to ultimately decide.
Voting will be Quadratic based on the total owned km2 (lot) of land. This will limit the tendency for the largest owners to overly dominate the votes and encourage participation by all.
Voting opens Thursday, May 19th and closes Thursday, May 26th
